School of Many Thoughts
One of the things how school has made me realize about my personal life, is the way that many people think. Not only that, but what they think of subjects in this world. When I was in High School, I already knew that college was going to be a place where many individuals would have their own set of ideas and beliefs. I was ready for this type of environment especially because I know that since there are many conflicting philosophies and beliefs, there would be a lot of disagreement between myself and other students.

I believe I addressed on side of the way students think in my last semesters blog but I do not remember since I recently did delete it.

Being in school has made me become independent in my own way of thoughts. Why? Because I know that I do not hold the same opinion of almost any subject, as most students do. Which is why sometimes I'm afraid to jump in the conversation because sometimes I do have many things to say and respond to many students claims but because the fear of the backlash, I will not. I have been engaged in really fiery discussion and that is fun when you're doing it with friends, but maybe not strangers. As I've been growing up and coming to college, I've became a little more vocal. I just see that so many people think the same thing and use almost the same thought process and their reasoning behind their thinking. Through college, I have learned to become a little more of an independent thinker, usually having a different approach of many topics of discussion. I hope that as we go through the year in English class, I would be able to offer a different point of view rather than what would I consider the norm.

If you reading this blog, mostly have different points of view than the norm. Be unique and independent. Somebody's viewpoint could always change and see the reasoning behind your point of view and could probably change the way they think. That is my goal at least.
I believe you are getting into your comfort zone and just voice what is on your mind. I like that a lot and I agree that we all have different perceptions but that is the purpose of college to make us think further into a subject and accept that there is thoughts not similar to the ones we have.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I need to get out of my comfort zone. I also agree with the second half of the statement. This is college after all, so I want to bring something new to the table
DeleteDo not fear to jumping into the conversation. We need alternate views.
ReplyDeleteWill keep that in account when we have another group discussion. I'm just gonna have at it
DeleteI think it's interesting to hear other people thoughts and ideas. It gives us a new perspective to look at things.
